One of the upsides of Stella's new school is that it's three blocks from our house, so we can bike, or, I suppose, snowshoe, (and probably sooner than I'd care to admit.)
Anyway, our usual drill is that we crawl out of bed at 7:30, hang out, munch on something, and hop on our bikes at 8:15. Naturally, I wait until the absolute last minute to get dressed.
"Are you going to wear your bathrobe to school today?" asked Stella last Friday.
"I wasn't planning on it."
"Oh good, it would be kind of embarrassing if you did."
Kind of embarrassing?
On our ride to school, my willpower gave way to curiosity: "So what else do I do that's embarrassing," I asked Stella.
"Oh, there are so many things, I don't even know where to begin."
