Footsie Ecstasy

Zoey just got a new batch of footsies and she is smitten. The footsie ecstasy has been heightened by the fact that the striped ones seem to directly reference two of her other favorite things in the world: massive lollipops and gum, specifically fruitstripe.  Remember that stuff?

While she basks in her zip-up glory, Stella and I have been reveling in a trove of vintage 70's clothes that we scored at a yardsale:

Stella wore a new (to this millenium) dress every day to school this week. I confess this made me a little nervous as compounding a vintage fashion sense to the other qualities that make her unique to her class, (she's the only new kid, she's one of the only non-blonds, she's "used to being more free since she's from San Francisco,") might make for some teasing, but she insisted. When her friend, Zoa, questioned her about why she was wearing the (seemingly dress-up box) dresses to school, Stella responded with, 'these are everyday dresses!,' meaning not to be saved for fancy events.
