A hard habit to break
Somebody in this house has a thing for pajamas. Footsie Pajamas, specifically. That certain someone takes them very seriously, throwing a fit the size of Texas if the right PJ's aren't available for the job, (which is often 24-hour shift, not just an evening affair.)
Foot liberation was necessary, so the footsies stayed in San Francisco, but Zoey's resiliency prevailed!
